Baby Spa

Finally brought the little warrior to Baby Spa!

Little warrior got dressed up!

We visited the outlet at Nex. Prior to the spa, I did a little homework. Trial session costs SGD$38 inclusive of a swim diaper of your baby's diaper size. Since it is the first session, we were told that it will only last approximately 20 minutes.

There are two types of pools, individual and group. I couldn't remember the maximum number of babies in the group pool, but in order to go into the group pool, Emme needs to get used to the water and float in the individual pool for four sessions, the therapist explained.

The i-supposed-it-is-house-brand swim diaper. Tried asking the staff there if we could bring our own swim diaper, his immediate answer was a big fat no.. It costs SGD$1.50.

Emme was rather grumpy before her spa session. HAHA. Nevertheless, she still look extremely cute! See her pinchable-kissable pouty cheeks!

Carrying Emme out of the stroller to get her changed. Oh ya, we illegally parked our stroller into the spa area. In the midst of Emme's spa, we were told to push the stroller out.

The little warrior examining the stranger surrounding while I was helping her with the swim diaper.

Visions of babies in their fifth month tends to improve, they should be able to see things more clearly.

Tadah! Thats Emme after her swim diaper well worn! A therapist will start the spa session by assisting Emme to warm out her body.

The fun began! As Emme was five months old on the very day, she had to start off with sit-on float rather than jumping straight into the neck float. As explained by the therapist, this is due to the fact that babies are able to recognize and resist objects/environment/activity at the age of five months, so by putting a baby onto a sit-on float, this will prep her to get used to the environment and the activity.

As inspired by xiaxue, I tried to put a little duckie  on her head, but I failed. Emme just couldn't sit still.

The curious baby was trying hard to explore and touch her sit-on float. Thank goodness, she didn't scratch the float! I was so worried that she might just punctuate the float cos' she simply loves scratching the bed and pillow at home.

Since I failed putting the duckie on her head, i resorted to put it on her shoulder! HAHA! Isn't it cute? It looked as if the duckie was whispering to baby Emme.

She was extremely relaxed while sitting in the sit-on float. Her facial expression was calm too. A cute view of her legs underneath the water! Even after the therapist turned on the jaccuzzi or manually moved the float, Emme's reaction was rather constant and still. That's my cool baby, Emme!

Soon after getting used to everything, Emme started her all-time favourite, putting anything she saw into her mouth!

Five months old babies love to put everything into their mouth and gabber non-stop! And they drool alot! Not forgetting blowing raspberries..

SEE! Emme seized the pink rubbish duckie and placed its butt into her mouth, refusing to let go! This lasted for a long while...

Once the therapist deemed that Emme had got used, I was told to carry her up to change to the neck float. See her 无奈 face after wearing the float!

Then Emme was placed back into the water. However, was instructed by the therapist that I couldn't release my grips on Emme immediately after she got into the pool, just in case she got too afraid.

My brilliant baby had no problem getting used to the water! Baby, you made daddy and mummy proud!

LOOK! She started to have tiny paddling movements with her hands and legs.

Underwater shot! My cuddly baby!

Backstroke (underwater shot)!

Soon after, her movements got more intense! She splashed water out of her pool. Strong baby!

Continuing her swim (jaccuzzi turned on)...

More movements, now to the side!

Paddling vigorously! Look at the bubbles that she had created!

Twenty good minutes passed very fast! Our tired baby at the changing area. She was totally famished after her swim! Babies are not allowed to go for swim/spa right after meal time, a mandatory gap of half to an hour is required. And babies will be very tired after the workout. Emme was moody and restless the day after. It is normal!

Hubby took up a package of ten sessions for Emme since she enjoyed herself very much and she fair greatly during the swim! The package costs SGD$300 and includes:
  1. 10 sessions (first session limited to 20 minutes, thereafter will be unlimited)
  2. 5 swim diapers (the rest to be purchased at SGD$1.50)
  3. A complimentary studio shoot for baby
  4. A complimentary baby massage
