Where's the COURTESY nowadays?

Before the door even opens, somebody starts to band you with her bag, rushing you to alight.

Before the train could stop, someone behind start to push you to the brim of the queue at the platform.

Before you could realise anything, someone just cut the queue at the platform, better still, stand in the middle of exit, blocking the path for the alighting passengers.

Before you could step out of the train, a bull stands at the center of the opening door, ready to charge into the train when the door opens.

During peak hours, many refuse to move to the center of the train cabin.

Some pretentious creatures try very hard to immense themselves into their gadgets or self hypothesizing to la la land rather than facing the reality to give up seats to needy people.

**

All these are what I observed for the past 2.5 months, just by taking the MRT.

Ever since I shifted back to YCK office, I got plenty of chances to see the ugly acts of commuters especially during peak hours. I started to wonder why people nowadays become so self centered. If you are in a rush for work, what makes the rest not? I'm not a saint, but I have the sense of sight!

Not long ago, Singapore Courtesy Campaign Mascot, Singa the Lion, resigned. I'm pretty sure the reason behind it is an understatement.
