for a good cause..

Oops, I did it again, I just carted out something but makes me feel extra good. Cos' it is for a good cause!

Tadah! Bought this nice 2-in-1 Handphone and Tissue pouch. Its just SGD$10.00 (excluding postage and handling of SGD$3.50). There are other gorgeous items such as tissue box holder, pouches and necklaces. They do customization with company logo or messages too!

Visit Mother and Child Project now!

Some brief introduction: Mother and Child Project is a Social Enterprise run by Singapore Anglican Community Services and seed funded by Comcare Enterprise Fund. Items seen are hand made by mothers (mostly single mothers), retirees and women recovering from pyschiatric illnesses. This project provides them with home-based work so that they can be financially self-sufficient for themselves and their children.

As a mother, I can totally understand how tough it is to bring up a kid (even harder if it is more than 1), not to say those disadvantaged ones. We should be thankful that we have a wonderful family who shower us with infinite support morally and physically. It is possible to do our part by donating denim, batik, silk or cotton (if you have). They do accept cash donation too. As Mother's Day is around the corner, by purchasing their handicrafts makes a difference too!
