心血来潮 decided to go try Drips Bakery Cafe for an afternoon snack on a Sunday after depositing Emme at home! It was our first time there although Drips has been there for er.... quite a while. haha.
The Place
It was a amicable afternoon in Drips. Hubby and I had much space and time to ourselves to enjoy and appreciate the cafe. Laid back feel (like you're home!) and spacious. Perfect ambience for chilling out for some desserts and drinks. There are sofa seats available too, but Hubby and I took the table and stools since it was supposed to be a fast escapade.
The Food
As seen on the shopfront, Drips specializes in tarts. Since the staff recommended Strawberry Tart ($8.00) and it sure does mouthwatering to us, we ordered one and shared between the two of us. The strawberries were air flown from US and weren't sour, by the way. The tart was super crusty and tasted heavenly, it tasted good by itself in my opinion, hehe. Freshness from the fruits, custard and buttery crust compliment each other. =P
Iced Chocolate ($6.00). Satisfied with the taste, not too sweet or bitter. It would be better if there was a smiley face chocolate art, rather than a normal zig zag.
